There's an extra helping of events happening this month starting with Newquay's first and very own HEALTH & WELLBEING FAIR at Steam Bar & Cafe (Great Western Hotel) on Saturday 11th May - 10am-4pm. With over 25 organisations represented this will be a brilliant event bringing together and celebrating a wide range of Newquay-based providers, and the chance to sample some of their health-giving services. The organisers of Art8 - Newquay's Arts & Culture Festival - have chosen the theme of this year's festival to be Health & Wellbeing. This Fair is bursting on to the scene and we will start as we mean to go on - one for the calendar.
Then of course it's Mental Health Awareness week starting on Monday 13th May. The theme this year is Body Image which will make for some interesting and valuable conversations. Please feel free to start and contribute to threads on the Healthy Minds Newquay page. So much going on - and of course at the centre of it all is conversation and connection - things that make being human beautiful.
OneWave Newquay kick off their Summer sessions this Thursday 9th May with a royal visit from Grant Trebilco. Grant founded OneWave in Australia and hosted Harry and Meghan at his base at Bondi Beach.
The usual mix of informal drop-in sessions continue with the next one on Monday 13th May at Coffee on the Corner - see below for details. Then on Monday 27th "It's good to TALK" will take place as usual at Sprout Health Foods - with a growing band of experienced volunteers on hand to lend a judgement-free, listening ear.
As always, everyone is welcome to all Healthy Minds Newquay meetings. Just come along, or get in touch, or see us on facebook if you have any questions at all.
